The Kano State Government has declared Friday, Sept. 22, as public holiday to mark the new Islamic year. A statement by the state commissioner for Information, Malam Muhammad Garba, on Wednesday the holiday to mark the first month in the lunar Islamic calendar. 19 people die in Kano auto crash

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) says 19 persons have died in a ghastly motor accident along Kano – Katsina Road. The Public Relations Officer of the FRSC Sector Command in the state, Mr Kabir Ibrahim-Daura, disclosed this to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kano on Saturday.
