Flood displaces 10,000 families in Kogi

Gov. Yahaya Bello of Kogi State on Tuesday said that no fewer than 10,000 families had been displaced by flooding in seven local government areas of the state. Bello, who spoke during a tour of flood ravaged areas of Lokoja, listed the affected local governments to include Lokoja, Ibaji, Igalamela -Odolu, Ajaokuta, Kogi and Bassa. Flood: NEMA advises Kogi communities

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has advised Communities living around the flood plains in Kogi to immediately relocate to higher grounds for safety to avoid the eminent flood.
